Warranty

KALAVINKA products are professionally crafted tools and designed to stand the rigors of a commercial kitchen. As such, changes in appearance, wear and tear from use, and normal consequences of use are not covered under our warranty policy.

All KALAVINKA products are covered for any manufacturer’s defects. Damage occurring from improper use or storage, prolonged use of high or excessive heat, thermal shock, accidental damage, or otherwise a result of a failure to follow care instructions described in product care inserts and care guides are not covered under warranty. Warranty claims may be submitted here.

Knives: 

KALAVINKA does not cover for accidental damage, bent knife tips, wooden handle damage from failure to follow care instructions, or dulled blades. Rust or damage that results from improper storage, such as leaving a blade in the sink or dishwasher, are not covered. KALAVINKA Knives are handcrafted and variance between products is normal and to be expected.

Limitations: 

The sole and exclusive liability of KALAVINKA under this warranty, and the consumer's only remedy, is limited to repairing or replacing the defective product. KALAVINKA will not be liable for any other damages, including but not limited to special, incidental, or consequential damages. In no instance will KALAVINKA's liability exceed the amount paid by the consumer for the product in question. Any oral or written description of the product is provided solely for identification purposes and should not be interpreted as a guarantee or express warranty.

This warranty provides specific legal rights, and you may also have additional rights that vary depending on the state or country of purchase.

Subject to the terms and conditions outlined, KALAVINKA warrants to the original purchaser or the original recipient (in the case of a gift) that the product will be free from defects in workmanship and materials when used under normal conditions and as specified, for the lifetime of the product ("Coverage Period"). Warranty: This warranty applies to (a) all components of the product (except as noted) and (b) defects in workmanship or materials when used under normal conditions within the United States. For the purposes of this warranty, "normal use and conditions" means those consistent with appropriate culinary applications as intended by KALAVINKA and excludes any conditions mentioned in the exclusions below.

Exclusions:

While KALAVINKA products are expertly made, they are not indestructible. This warranty does not cover: (1) injuries or damage (including bent tips, chipped or broken blades, or melted handles) caused by any of the following: unauthorized modifications, misuse, abuse, neglect, natural disasters (such as fire, tornados, hurricanes, or earthquakes), accidents, improper use (e.g., cutting frozen foods or bones, using the product to open jars or cans, or cutting on surfaces like cooling racks, glass, granite, or stainless steel), or any other unforeseeable and unreasonable use of the product.

Note:

If you purchased your KALAVINKA product in the U.S. and have since relocated to another country, or if you bought your product through Amazon.ca or Amazon.co.eu, you will be responsible for any shipping charges, customs fees, taxes, or other costs incurred when fulfilling warranty replacements.

WARNING:

No steel is entirely stainless. Prolonged exposure to liquids may cause your knife to rust or discolor. It is strongly recommended not to wash your knife in a dishwasher, as extended contact with water, harsh cleaning chemicals, and high temperatures can cause irreversible damage.

When returning knives, please ensure they are securely wrapped in newspaper or bubble wrap and placed in a sturdy cardboard box to protect all handlers. Avoid including personal items or non-KALAVINKA products you wish to keep, such as blade guards, towels, or other packing materials, as these will not be returned.

You are responsible for the costs of shipping your product to KALAVINKA, including tracking. Please make sure to retain your tracking number. Additionally, you are responsible for any loss or damage that may occur during transit (consider purchasing shipping insurance). KALAVINKA will cover the shipping costs associated with returning or replacing a product that falls under this warranty.
